About Us

St Joseph’s Primary School is located in the southern Riverina town of Jerilderie. Our school challenges every student to dare to do as much as is within them in our every day opportunities. We are a school community of children, parents and true believers that learns, laughs, prays, shares and serves together for the betterment of all.

Currently, the school has an enrolment of 43 students creating three classes, Kinder through to Year 6. As a co-educational systemic Catholic School, the school operates under the guidelines and policies of the Catholic Schools Office in Wagga Wagga.

Our inclusive approach and highly committed team of experienced educators ensure that students are provided a supportive environment in which they are empowered and challenged to do their best.

We have many modern facilities, whilst still retaining the intimate environment that a small school can provide. The school prides itself on its involvement with the Parish and Jerilderie Community.

Come and visit us anytime.

Welcome from the Principal

We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people as the traditional custodians of the country on which our school stands.

Every child deserves to feel known, safe and valued at school. As Principal, I am passionate about creating a community where every student can learn, grow and flourish.

My name is Caz Perryman, and I bring many years of experience in education along with a deep passion for small rural schools and the strong sense of connection they foster. I believe that when relationships are strong and students feel a true sense of belonging, they are able to thrive.

A strong focus on student wellbeing sits at the heart of our school. When children feel supported, confident and cared for, they are ready to engage in learning and reach their full potential. Wellbeing is therefore not an addition to learning, but a foundation for it.

Our school is guided by four pillars that shape our community: Welcome, Service, Learning and Faith. These values guide the way we learn, care for one another and grow together.

We strive to provide a holistic learning environment where every student is welcomed, valued and loved, and where each child is supported to flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

I warmly invite you to visit our school, meet our staff and students, and experience the strong sense of community that makes our school such a special place to learn and grow.

School Values

Here at St Joseph’s, Jerilderie we have in place 5 core school values that guide our actions, choices and interactions in all areas of school life.
The 5 school values are underpinned by sub behaviours that are explicitly modelled, taught and praised in our school.

Catholic Schools have a unique role in the evangelising and educating mission of the Church. St Joseph’s Catholic Primary, Jerilderie follows the Wagga Wagga Diocesan Religious Education curriculum, Sharing Our Story. In the beginning of 2023, Most Reverend Bishop Mark Edwards OMI launched the Diocese of Wagga Wagga Catholic Education Charter. This charter, a foundational document, definitively expresses the purpose and priorities of our Education System. Describing our schools as Communities of Welcome, Communities of Faith, Communities of Service, and Communities of Learning, it inspires and guides the work of all those involved in Catholic education in the Diocese.
